What is JAG?

What is JAG? Jobs for America’s Graduates, or JAG, is a school-to-career program implement in 700 high schools, alternative schools, community college, and middle schools across the country and United Kingdom. JAG’s mission is to keep young people in school through graduation and provide work-based learning experiences that will lead to career advancement opportunities or to enroll in a postsecondary institution that leads to a rewarding career.What is JAG? Earn 3 credits for the year.

REQUIREMENTS

Have a job or volunteer
Work/volunteer at least 10 hours a week
Complete 90 hours each nine (10) weeks
Attend class regulary/Join a Career Assoiciation

THE JAG CLASS DOES AS FOLLOWS

Teachers real work skills; resume writing, job searching, interviewing skills and job survival skills.
Teaches the different career clusters.
Teacher oral and written skills/presents guest speakers.
